Darrell, actor singer dancer extraordinaire, is originally from Houston, Texas. He knew he would be onstage someday as he grew up recreating scenes from shows like Kids Incorporated and the Mickey Mouse Club in his living room.

At the age of nine he first hit the stage when he joined the Spirit of Life Praise Dancers at his church. His love for dance grew, but unfortunately the team ended after only two years. He joined the school band as a French Horn player to fulfill his artistic hunger. It wasn’t until his sophomore year of high school that he was bitten again by the stage bug. He was cast as Angie the Ox in the school’s production of Guys and Dolls! His first musical! He then knew that his calling was to be in the performing arts.

Soon after, he enrolled in Standing Ovations School of Dance in Spring, TX and began to fine tune his craft. He then went on to study Musical Theatre at Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, TX. While there, he took summer intensives at Ann Reinking’s Broadway Theatre Project in Tampa, FL and the Alvin Ailey Intensive in New York City. He even took a semester off to work as a dancer for Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.

After graduation, Darrell immediately began working. He now resides in New York City and cannot wait for all that God has in store for him!
